The CO08 is a compact carbon monoxide alarm with a clear LCD digital display that shows CO levels from 10 to 999 ppm in real time. Powered by a 10-year electrochemical sensor and two replaceable AA alkaline batteries, it delivers reliable, long-term protection with around one year of battery life per set.
Green, red and yellow LED indicators give you an instant status check, while low-level CO warnings help you respond before concentrations become dangerous. If an alarm is triggered, the unit stores the event so you can review it later, and the triple-silence function lets you mute unwanted alerts without compromising safety.

Find the right place
Eye level is best - every level of the home and every room with a fuel-burning appliance. At least 1.5 m (3 m advised) from cooking or heating appliances.

Mount it - or stand it
Fix the bracket to the wall with the screw kit, or simply place it freestanding on a shelf or table. No drilling required for freestanding use.

Power on
Remove the battery tab and insert 2 AA alkaline cells. A 60-second countdown self-check runs, then the alarm starts working.

Test, then make a habit
Press 'TEST' once a week: the sound rises to the 4th max-volume beep = OK. Test after any holiday away.

Know the signals
Yellow 'Lb' = low battery (silence ≈12 h, then swap the cells). 'Err' = fault. 'End' = the 10-year sensor life is over - replace the whole unit.

No. CO08 runs on 2 replaceable AA alkaline batteries (about 1 year per set - Duracell, Energizer, GP or Kidde cells are recommended). When the yellow "Lb" signal appears, swap the cells and keep the alarm. The 10-year electrochemical sensor covers the life of the unit.
If CO stays at or above 20 ppm for more than 30 minutes, CO08 gives a gentle warning - one beep and a red flash every 3 minutes - well below the level that triggers a full alarm. It is an early heads-up for children, elderly people and pregnant women, and a hint to ventilate and check your appliances.
Press TEST once during an alarm to silence it for about 9 minutes. But safety comes first: if CO rises above 300 ppm, silencing is locked - the alarm keeps sounding. Never ignore an alarm: ventilate, move everyone to fresh air, and call the gas emergency service if a fuel-burning appliance may be leaking.
